Hi there, here is something I wanted to write down about one of the ways I found to be really helpful to me when I went on my last diet. It's pretty simple, but before I get to it, I want to give you a little background on how I got to where I am right now in terms of losing weight through dieting.
First of all, I'm one of those people who tried many different diets over the years and none of them seemed to work for me. At least with some I lost a few pounds only to gain them all back again as soon as I finished on the diet I was on. It was getting me down a lot and I was beginning to feel that maybe I just wasn't cut out to be a thin person. That's not to say I have ever been really, really overweight or obese. At my heaviest I was around 20 pounds over my ideal weight of 158 pounds, but mostly my weight hovers around the 170-174 area, while my best weight was in my early 20s when I was exactly 158. But I was more active back then, which was 30 years ago. And I don't remember ever eating any of the junk food that is available if such massive portions today.
But today is today and you just can't turn back that clock, so it's all about finding solutions to the weight problems that are around today. I got caught up in eating super size meals for sure, but at least it was only ever an occasional thing. Most of the food I eat is still good old fashioned home cooked meals.
Before I lost all the weight I needed to lose, I just tended to eat a little too much of that good healthy food and also had a bad habit of snacking on savory snacks like potato chips and salted nuts. Plus I sneaked a candy bar every so often too. And probably my worst habit, I drank 3 or 4 cans of soda most days. Can you tell what my problems were and how I beat them?
I'll tell you on the next page here: "Lost Weight"…
